001 Time of the Sun - Welcome
Welcome.
My name is Andres Felipe O’Beirne Serrano. I’m a filmmaker, entrepreneur and artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Born to immigrant parents, I was raised by a global family with Irish and Colombian roots which developed a deep curiosity for the world and continuous learning in many areas early on.
For the past few years, I’ve been writing in daily journals I carry with me everywhere I go. These journals are filled with ideas, projects, notes, streams of thought, memories, insights and more. This writing practice has supported immense internal growth within me.
Time of the Sun is a project dedicated to providing ideas and resources that encourage ongoing connection with our true-self through exploration and practice — revealing our greatest work, creativity and potential along the way.
Every week, I will share areas of thought to consider, a quote to ponder, something to try and link(s) to explore. And sometimes, I will share more.
It’s for you. And for me.
Enjoy.

Area of thought to consider
LESS GRASPING, MORE ALLOWING
Have you ever tried to catch a small, floating feather?
The faster you grasp at it, the faster it flees.
Rather, if we allow the feather to float down into our hand, we can catch it with ease.
Quote to ponder
This practice — of never assuming an experience you have is the whole story - will support you in a life of open possibility and equanimity. When we obsessively focus on these events, they may appear catastrophic. But they’re just a small aspect of a larger life, and the further you zoom back, the smaller each experience becomes. Zoom in and obsess. Zoom out and observe. We get to choose.

Something to try
